Hi
Ive had no cards for 7-8 years due to bankruptcy(cleared 05). Want to make a one off purchase of £400 so looking at int Free card to buy and throw away. Wife has a non int free card which WE have a debt of 841 on and pay £50/mth to.
Can I transfer that debt to MY new card or would we better off her applying. We can clear all the balance over 14mth if req(barclay card platinum).
Thanks for your advice
Andy

Thanks.
Her card is Lloyds. so to double check: though its not registered as MY debt I can transfer that to MY new card, Sorry just a bit concerned as have been cash only for so long just want to pick right deal.0 -
Yes, you can do that. Best to do it online and not volunteer the fact that it is from someone else's card. Presumably you realise that in law it will become your debt but that shouldn't matter in a good relationship.
