Ideas for wedding present?

Any ideas please for a nice wedding present that has to be sent by post long distance? It has to be reasonably light, and not too breakable...and, sadly, not too expensive!
Thankyou

Can you help us out with some more info?
What relation are you to the couple?
Where are you sending it too?
Do they have a list?
What things do they like (hobbies etc)?0 -
Hi RainbowDrops, I'm 'auntie' lol, whatever I get has to be easy to post to Australia , young couple but very busy with work so not much time for hobbies, new home, but I don't know what style really. I was intending to send some money out with family attending wedding, but it's been mentioned that something more 'personal' would be appreciated. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Who suggested a 'personal' gift - did they give you any hint as to what sort of thing?
If you really are clueless, then money still might be a good idea.0 -
LOL definitely clueless on this one, it's my brother who suggested the gift ( groom's father) ...but no clues given! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Not very helpful of him!
Ask him for ideas, otherwise I;m sure money will be greatly appreciated

How about a photoframe? they are light and easily posted and not breakable if wrapped up in bubble wrap and a padded out box.:T Looking forward to the future :T0

I was going to say photo frame too, so I shall now just agree with rock queen.
Nice candle holders, maybe for a dinner table so that the busy couple can remember to have a romantic meal now and again0 -
While everyone seems to think a photo frame is a good idea I really don't like it! Just from the point of view it seems to be a go to present, and it is quite possible they will end up with a few! (seems to be the new "toaster and kettle"! I have been given a few photo frames, and just end up chucking them, then have to go out and buy one in a particular size for THAT photo.
Ask if they have a gift list, if not, money would always be appreciated (here anyway!):T0 -
How about letterheaded paper/envelopes with the married couples' name, address etc? Personal and not too heavy to package up and send to Aussie!
I did this for my sister and brother-in-law, it came in handy for thank you notes as well as the official letters when you have to advise official bodies of the marriage etc
SwampyExpect the worst, hope for the best, and take what comes!!:o0 -

I think this is a fab idea. Very personal, yet unusual.:T0
