Sky+ Box Help Please

Hi all 
Got new TV a week ago, hooked up Sky + box and kept getting error 29 - no signal being received, finally got channels working but all Sky+ recordings would fail stating no signal (even when I was watching another channel so clearly had a signal).
Anyway, sky engineer came today and replaced sky + box for free and put new cables in. This was about 11am and has been working fine all day til about an hour ago when it turned itself off. Rebooted and attempted to tape something for OH, but go error saying Sky+ recording failed and had no anytime tv or planner. Now have got TV on but one minute the picture is sticking and the next it's going super fast to catch up, all out of sync with sound which is fine. The box is also making a really fast beeping sound. Is there anything I can do to fix it or do I need a sky engineer again? As i don't have another day off work in the forseeable future for one to visit :eek:
