Woofing dog.

Just coming on for a complain as mutt is driving me up the wall again.
Mother has accidentally taught her to bark when she wants something or she wishes to raise an objection.
She has starting complaining when her box is in a draught, when the light is off (oddly enough she is happy to sleep in the dark at night but woofs merrily away if she's in the dark when we're still up and about.) And when she feels her meal is a tad overdue. She mainly does it on my mum as she knows I just completely ignore her.
However today her colitis is back, and on vet's orders she is a dinner free zone. She has leapt. She has twirled. She has nipped my toes. She has run off with my shoes. And been extremely energetic for an aged pooch the vet has just described as "rickety."
And for the last 10 minutes or so she has given a loud woof at approx 30 second intervals. I am ready to swing for her. Just wondering how early I can get away with going to bed.

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Well the burst of energy has faded, thank goodness.
She is currently on my lap completely hidden underneath a fleecy blanket (we're being moneysaving on the heating and she's not appreciative.)
With the occasional muffled woof still issuing forth from the depths. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I feel your pain elsien. I'm looking after my mum's chihuahua for three weeks, he barks and howls everytime the phone rings, which means I can't find the bloody phone cos he's making too much noise. I really don't know how my mum lives with it, perhaps she doesn't get many phone calls.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

Poor thing's probably starving with that dinner free zone order. I'd be woofing too!0

Teaching a dog to woof on command is only ever a good idea if you teach the dog a command for 'quiet' at the same time.
I have no advice on how to stop it today feel your pain as one of mine is a bit of a wooferIf you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -
