Quite a good week on the money saving front. Got £19.50 off my weekly shop using vouchers. £3 survey money went into paypal and got paid for my second job £73.20.

So a total of £95.70 this week :D

Also promised a £10 voucher for a complaint i made about the supermarket I used this week as the customer service and staff manners were appalling. Wont count this until it turns up though

Oooops - don't bother using Amazon for selling DVDs. I made £1.19 after costs and spent 92p to send it second class.

I'm not sure profit of 27p was worth the walk to the post office in the rain this lunch time!

... I'm still adding it to my total though :p

I've got another similar DVD - this time I'm gonna try Ebay and see what I get after costs.
I've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.

13.43 for me today. 10.43 from an ebay sale and 3.00 saved from bringing my own lunch and drink to work. Got a couple of dresses of mine to list tonight, so hoping to give next weeks total a bit of a boost! Am still waiting for 3 buyers to pay for items so I can add that to the total too. I am getting quite addicted to this daily total and watching it slowly grow! I also had a pair of gorgeous Kurt Geiger suede slippers delivered for my dads christmas present today. A snip at a mere 50.00 .................before you spit your tea out and fire me from the forum I only actually paid 14 as I used the Elle 20 gift card and 20 first order discount code as detailed over on grabbit. I usually pay about 20.00 for his slippers, so actually I can class that as a 6.00 saving on what I would normally spend. That brings todays total to 19.43 in that case. Yay!

ps. just to say my pound sign is not working on my keyboard and it is driving me NUTS!

  • Edit to add - Nicky Noo Naa I have had the exact same problem with Ebay and it drove me crazy! Went onto the ebay board for advice. I use firefox and was told to clear all my cookies and caches from the browser history (orange box at top left hand corner of screen if you happen to be on the same) and then I tried again and it sorted out.

Thanks for this - all working now :D Still no bids but hey, at least I've made a start!

Link to the whole thread is here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3590591

Basically, if you purchase Elle magazine (3.80) you get a 20.00 Kurt Geiger gift card, which you activate on line and is valid for 12 months on full price purchases in store or online. There is also a code ( on post 125 of the above mentioned thread) that knocks another 20.00 off orders of 50.00 or more if it is your first purchase from KG. So, it is possible to get 40.00 knocked off an order of 50.00 or more. Delivery is 4.00 on top.

It was working on giftcards over the weekend (a 50.00 gift card for 14.00 = wow!) but they have changed their terms and it no longer works on those and I missed that particular glitch! Was very happy to get my dads slippers though.

There is some debate if the welcome code (post 125 on link) works with elle giftcard, but someone has recently posted to say it let them use it.

£9 on ebay sales Added this although it is now in my paypal account (so suppose I ought to withdraw it, if I am going to include it)

Going to do the remaining searches for November on my Nectar seach engine. Still wanting a search engine to use on google chrome. Anyone use Irazoo? Is this any good? or are there any better ones?

    Cheers
