Morning everyone I've not been on here for a couple of days, things are going a bit slow now not sure what to do lol. I'm going to hunt out some things to put on ebay later. I was wondering do normal books sell on amazon or just more factual based books IYKWIM
I found amazon good for selling reference books (specialised stuff like classic cars, horse training) but never listed paperback novels because there's usually loads going for 1p. The main disadvantage is that you don't set the postage, which means some of my heaviest books would need to sell for a lot more than they're really worth! I also guess that is how the 1p sellers make any money, because they're lighter so they make a bit on postage. As you don't pay listing fees and there's no time limit you can always stick them up there and see if they sell. :)
I've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.

  • Hi All,

On my tiny target of £5 per day I seem to be doing a little better than I expected, I have sold a few horsey bits so £50 to add to the pot, I have given some stuff to the local sanctuary, so not money making but life changing for a beastie that has been neglected. More bits to put on fleabay including my saddle, love my saddle so very comfy but no horse to ride so suppose it should go. So up to £75/150 half way there.

  • Finally kicked myself up the bum and listed my first ever items on fleabay yesterday! Was very pleased with myself but no bids or even watchers yet :-/ Might try and get a few more ont his week....

Also, £6 MOC at sainsburys today (last one, boooo). Didn't really need much shopping but got some books on the 3 for 2 offer (another £3 saved) for my niece so thats another xmas pressie sorted!

    so £9 to add!
  • WobblyDeb
I am thinking if the 2 horsey books don't sell, they can be the rest of my niece's Christmas present. What do you think? I've already bought her main present and would have given her £10 cash along with it. Either that or 2 second hand books that cost £35 new. Seems kind of odd to give my second hand stuff to someone for Christmas though.... :o

If you don't want to look like you are trying to pass them off as a present you could just give her the main present and say you also had some books you thought she would like/find useful and then save the £10. I think it works out better value for you both so sounds like a good idea to me!!
