  • Still not sure what counts but got batteries today buy a pack of 4 get a pack free so that was £3.99 saved then needed to replace CD/MP3 player and picked up one that includes a USB port to play from a usb stick and it was £5 off, could claim more as exact same one on Amazon is £44.99 and I paid £29.99 in Argos, reduced from £34.99, cannot understand why they are selling for so much dearer on Amazon but will stick with the £5 off from them. So not quite making my £5 a day but yesterday was a NSD and for me that is a saving as always asking hubby to pick me up this or that on way home, or on good days ( my good days) will toddle across the road to corner shop and buy bits.
Need to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

I’m a bit late, but could you add me too please? I’ll aim for a total of £225 for the month (£7.50 daily average).

My job means I can’t make extra money from anything related to market research like surveys or consumer panels, so this will be hard.

First 3 days’ savings have been from:
o bringing my own lunch in (saving £3.50 minus the cost of ingredients every day)
o 50% and £5 H&M voucher used for clothes I needed for work
o Christmas presents worth £60 bought for £16 (although I would only have spent about £40, so will only count that as £24)
o resisting my chocolate cravings (mostly :p)
o switching from Sainsbury’s to Lidl
o some very modest poker winnings
o and switching to 2nd class post to save a very few pennies.

    Total so far: £47.20! :j
    Saving for deposit: Finished! :j
    House buying: Finished!
Next task: Lots and lots of DIY
  • Another little bit from me. Got 2 stocking fillers for my girls, which I thought were 89p until I got to the Till and they were only 10p :T I love a till bargain. :D

I think they pay it via BACS (or paypal as long as under £25) on the 1st and 15th of every month, as long as youve got enough in there to cover thier £5 (if first payment of the year) and theres more than £1...I may be wrong! :D

    goto max!miles

you will see green and white tabs running across the page, click on Videos. Click on the video to watch all the way through (leave running in background while doing something else) and then rate the video, click on the stars, click on collect your points, click on next arrow, and watch them all. They are repeated x3 if you are very lucky ;) so everyday log in and check them all again. The ones without a value are worth 20 points.

goto Quidco, log into your account, goto settings, click on payment, make sure you have added your bank details. Save them if you haven't, then at the bottom choose when you would like quidco to pay you out, ie at £1, at £0.00, at £10, etc.

they pay twice a month, first and fifteenth.
