Thank you!
Managed to drag myself onto eBay now... Listed 1 more so far.
It's actually quite weird going through the cupboards. When I started to imagine moving, I realised how much stuff I had. This is probably what got me in debt in the first place (partly, partly thick-headedness of not going on benefit when I needed it).
Oh well... At least the stuff is still there, and as nice as, e.g., perfume is, I haven't opened most of them since buying them in the first place. Or used them just once. Looks like buying luxury brands have its pluses: the prices don't drop much on eBay.
Definitely worth selling then. I spent ages keeping stuff 'just in case' but now I'm the total opposite and everything goes on Ebay!
I still keep too much though, particularly things that I think 'might come in useful one day' which are usually things that really are just rubbish, but the arty crafty side of me can't bear to part with them. Things like jars from baby food (washed out obviously), or bits of fabric from old clothes. But I never have the time to do anything creative with them, so have to bear to part with them!
(At least by selling other bits on Ebay I've more space for this type of !!!!!! But massive catch 22 really, as due to all the Ebaying etc, that's why I don't have the time!! That and a very active toddler, and very kicky baby!) :rotfl:Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -
Hi friends, you lot are much active on Ebay lol....well done everyone with their figures...:T:T:T
Me a bit new to ebay so your tips here do help me a lot and keeps me motivated lol...:A
I am currently only selling small unwanted things on ebay and nothing valuable.
But today I got email from Paypal, that my funds will be held for 21 days and will only be released after that, unless the buyer leaves feedback.:o:o
I could not get the reason behind this, or is it common with newbie sellers????? I have got nearly 80ish feedback now.
Is there anything I need to improve to get rid of this paypal hold please???
TIA0 -

This is common for newer sellers.
I take it your feedback is mostly from buying if you have only recently started selling?
They don't take this into account as far as I know with regards to the PayPal issue. Of course it is really helpful though for buyers, as they will see you have a good feedback score, whereas lots of buyers are wary of sellers with 0 feedback ratings.
Everyone has to start somewhere of course, but buying first to get some feedback before starting to sell is always a good idea (so long as you don't waste lots of money on things you don't need!)
PayPal will release the money quicker than the 21 days once the buyer leaves positive feedback.
After you have sold a few things (can't remember how many, although my other halfs was lifted last week, and he's not sold all that much on him) this restricted status will be lifted, and the money will start to be available to you immediately.Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -

Oh Thank you for the reply hun xxx
I started selling since Jan of this year....and most of my feedback is from selling things....;)
Out of total feedback hardly 10 is for buying and rest all from selling ...:o
And the surprising thing is Paypal put a hold some 2 months back, then they released it this month (means money was immediately available for me) and again put it 2 days back which made me worried...:o:o
I am sorry for taking this thread out of topic friends..:(
Thanks once again for the info....:A0 -
£6.01 today from TopCashBack and just got an email to say I won £5 with Wrigley's Extra - won't count that until I receive the cheque though...

Yay! £34 banked from selling my old mobile (why didn't I do it sooner?!) + £2.10 walking to and from work yesterday and £1.55 saved for lunch because I've brought in leftovers ... which would normally be snaffled by OH, or go off
Now at £218.40!!! :T
So, how do I get the last £81.60??? :undecided: The most I could get from walking to work and making my own lunches is £40 and it is unlikely I will manage that every day for the rest of the month. There's potentially (if my watchers bid) another £15 from Ebay. Hmmmmm - I've not got a lot else to sell! :cool:I've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.0 -

Haha, I also have this problem... just with fabric though. There is SO much. Also, sometimes I'd keep really horrible clothes just because they could one day make nice cushions/toys out of them or something. One day.
Can't imagine how you manage to eBay so much! I don't have a toddler or a baby yet, and still only managed 3 last night (well, on goal still).
Anyway, managed another £40 on eBay...
Feel happy and slightly depressed at the same time. Have been tracking my spending for 3 months now... but just how much did I use to buy?!?! I know I never spent more than my monthly income before, so used to think I was good with money... but at the same time, I could have had savings, and wouldn't be here now. *sigh*
Oh well, it was prob a better idea spending my money on luxury brands than investing in stocks or something. :rotfl: The only thing is, I don't know what to do with some lesser-known luxury brands. They do really badly on eBay.
Also, MUST motivate myself to sell my old, broken laptop to the corner shop... It's just taking up space under the bed at the moment.November £10 per day challenge: £265.93/£300
