How can I find out what year an item was bought

I have the bar code and number, PEK-001 and bar code is 5060029641726
I want to know for personal reason dont want to go into, just want to know if there is a way I can tell what year this item was bought, item is electric knife pacific.

Only by looking at the receipt or seeing if you can track the transaction on your bank or credit card statement.0

The serial number may allow you to track down the year it was manufactured but this will not give a definitive view on the year it was bought.Thinking critically since 1996....0
