Sky+ HD installation - magic eye no longer works

I'm looking for some suggestions from those who may have experienced this before.
We had sky+hd installed today which works fine - however
we have another TV in the bedroom which works from a magic eye connected back to the sky box.
Now we can get the same picture on the bedroom tv as on the one in the den (where the sky+ box is) but we can't move it up or down the channels. The remote lights up but nothing is happening.
The installer tried it with the sky+ remote but no joy either so he couldn't suggest anything and since it was nothing to do with the new box he left us.
So, help please.
Thanks

If the Sky box has two RF outputs, check that your link to the remote TV is on the one that supplies power - usually only one does, and it's typically marked in really small lettering.
Mind you, would have thought the installer should have checked that...0 -
looks like it is coming out of the right RF output then:(
According to the engineer most magic eye's are useless after you get sky+ but that was one of my questions when I agreed to take it and I was assured it didn't affect it.
Feeling like I've been lied to:mad:NO FARMS = NO FOOD0 -
Bit of an update - we've played around with the co-ax cables and we can now get the magic eye tv to work but only with the new sky+ remote control. That's the good news, the bad news is the installer said extra sky+ remotes were £60 so hubby is having a real go at me for not checking it all out before I went ahead.
Oh how I wish I was phsycic!NO FARMS = NO FOOD0 -

Any Sky + remote should work with the Sky + HD box, but no a standard remote.
PS Sounds like the installation monkey was saying anything just to get out of the house. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I have a magic eye and upgraded to sky + HD from Sky + about a year ago. Had no problem getting it to work and I still use the old Sky+ remote. I know this doesn't really help with your situation, but I just wanted to show that there's no reason why it shouldn't work.0

the old sky box wasn't a sky+ one it was an antique version from some 20 years ago so maybe it just needed a new remote. The engineer claimed to start with the the magic eye couldn't tell the difference between sky and sky+ so the remote didn't matter.
I suspect I know who or what couldn't tell the difference......NO FARMS = NO FOOD0
