Hi All, i am nearly out of my contract and looking for a change, i have had Android now for what seems like a lifetime. Don't get me wrong they are great but i'm bored with it! Everyone has one or the dreaded Iphone.
I dont want an Iphone!
So Windows phone is in my sights. had a little play with the HTC Titan today and it was fab but way to big. So which windows phone would you recommend, i'm looking at Samsung Omnia W and Nokia Lumia 800 neither of which have landed yet.
I'm thinking of buting phone and going on Giffgaff.
Your thoughts please?

HTC Mozart has been mentioned several times here recently. It is smaller than Titan.0 -
I've got an HTC Mozart (had it since it was launched 21/10/10), and I've just bought an HTC Trophy off Ebay for my wife. They're virtually identical, and in terms of technology, they're pretty much a year old, however you would never ever know it.
All the Win7 phones have just been updated to the latest version of the o/s (mango) - and both of our phones run extremely well. My Mozart is crammed full of music (both phones are 8GB, but sadly you can't expand the memory unless you fancy taking the phone apart!), but this doesn't affect the performance at all. I'm not sure when the next version is due out, but I wouldn't expect anything more until at least the middle of next year.
The recent Trophy I bought for my wife cost just less than £150, is immaculate and is being used with a sim only contract.
In my opinion you could do an awful lot worse than to do something similar.
Hope this helps,

Wait for the new Nokia0

Thanks Tony, i had not seen the Trophy, had a look at the HTC radar today and looked very dated when compared to the Titan. I will take a closer look. Much better price than either of the two new ones i was looking at!0

To be honest - I think the HTC's are all pretty much of a muchness (Mozart/Trophy) - they look very similar and are a very similar size.
At launch, they were all pretty much the same spec - the only difference being the screen sizes. The Trophy is very slightly bigger than the Mozart.
The Mozart was launched on Orange / the Trophy on Vodafone, and the HTC HD7 was on O2 (although this was much bigger)
There have been some pretty good deals on Ebay for the Trophy, and from what I've seen over the last few weeks you should expect to pay about £150ish.
I really can't recommend enough! Not often you meet a WP7 fanboy is it lol0 -
^WP7 base is growing whilst Samsung & i-Phone are saturated - people coming out of 2 year contracts are switching to WP7
OP I got my Mozart on £10.50 a month with o2, sim in drawer & used for my sim only deal - Virgin Media Liberty.

£50 seems best cashback on a o2 contract, I got £100 last week.

You will love WP7 - i had i-Phone, Android & WP7 this year, without a shadow of a doubt WP7 is the dogs doo-dahs above the rest.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
I have the HTC HD7 on o2 for a year and its great love the big screen0

Just a question about windows mobile mango update. If you set a reminder in the phone is can we "snooze" the reminder for variable time period- say 30 mins, one hour or one day. this was available in previous windows mobiles but HTC had installed the " HTC sense" in HTC HD2 and this facility for snoozing reminders was lost. This is a very useful phone function for me. Your answers will be useful.0

WP7 doesn't have 'skins' like Android has the HTC sense.
Anyone had a WP7 and a Blackberry, I like my Storm2 and love the battery life but also like the look of WP7, have a Zune too so can use that for music on there too.... tempted...
