I've just changed my car insurance to save myself £78

Direct Line, who I've been with for 4 years didn't even care much that I was leaving. There was a half hearted attempt to ask if there was anything that had changed and then they just said Ok, we'll cancel your renewal.
On the other hand, RAC gave me a good chunk off my breakdown cover when I rang to ask why it had gone up so much. The lady freely admitted the best offers tended to be for new members, but said I'd asked so nicely that she'd see what she could do

Are you saying that you are happy with the RAC even though they tried to over charge you for your loyalty?0 -

I submitted my post too quickly - it should have included that I saved £25 on the previous year's price, hence I stayed with them. Should have reviewed my post before posting"Does it spark joy?" - Marie Kondo

Are you saying you would have saved £78 if you changed though?0
