moving to Switzerland what are my insurance options?

Hi,
i will be moving to a new job in Switzerland in the new year, and I'm hoping to take my car.
I will be there for ~2 years.

Will I be able to take out UK insurance that will cover me? need Swizz insurance also, or just swiss?

any help is much appreciated!

You might be best asking someone who's already there, such as your employers or a colleague? I'm aware that they do have some funny rules re cars over there.

I would have thought if you are over there for 6 months or more you will need to re register your car with Swiss number plates, so will need Swiss insurance.

Might be easier to sell your UK car and buy a left hand drive Swiss registered one when you get there.

Register and insure the car there, You really do need to look that up before you take the car.

They are not car friendly. Could be very very expensive.

Last time i heard you must have the car steam cleaned before the MOT test. And they are very strict.

LOL i had heard they hate cars. So its an offence to have frost on the screen, But its illegal to start the
engine and let the heat clear the sceen.
