Life after DRO

Options
Hello

I was discharged 10 Sept 2010.

I would like to set a small not for profit business, but I have already been turned down by lloyds and natwast for a business account. I dont need any lending just a seperate place to put company money.

1. The made me check my credit report and Stanander account and card still have me as defulted even thought they were included in the DRO. I have written to them a while ago but still no luck.

2. Under court information it says I have "1 Current" and type is Bankruptcy Order. Are these two things correct?

3. Is there anyway I can get a Business Account?

Thanks

Why does it have to be a business account?

You could use just an ordinary CO-OP Cashminder account.

Doesn't have to be, just need an account that has the company name. Do Co-op do this?

Somebody posted a couple of months back that NatWest do a Foundation Account which is specifically for charities, businesses such as yours and those who struggle to get a business account due to poor credit checks. I think they offer 2 years free banking from the off.
When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN :D

It's all going to depend on you passing a credit check. This is going to be difficult, but not impossible, as your file is going to be fairly trashed for the next 5 years. The most insolvent friendly banks are Barclays and the coop. Have you tried them?

Unfortunately then, you will be very fortunate to find a bank willing to give you a business account.
