Prepay/Account Landline Service

I'm looking for a service that provides the ability to make unlimited geographic landline calls within a set time period for a fixed fee. There are of course plenty of "all you can eat" deals on contract home phone services but I need something that I can use from any landline without running up a bill on that number. I use services that provide an 0845/0870 number to dial abroad but I want something that I have paid a set fee to make as many calls as I like via an 08/05 type number.

Geographic landline numbers start with 01 or 02, not 05 or 08.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

Yes, I mean I dial an 08/05 number provided by a prepay service and dial the landline number I want via that number.I am an Independent Financial Adviser.

You will struggle to find an unlimited prepay service that works from any landline. There are various options with a PIN code (like phonecards) but not unlimited/inclusive calls. Telesave's traveller service allows national landline calls for 1.5p/min daytime and 1p/min off peak with no additional connection fees via an 0800 number. This is a prepay service. Minimum initial top up £10, no expiry, pay as you use.
Are you aware you can get a mobile SIM card with unlimited landline 01/02/03 calls for just £6.00 per month? £72 per year for unlimited landline calls isn't bad. (There are also 100 mobile minutes and 100 texts thrown in too). It's a T-mobile SIM from chitterchatter. (Choose the £6 SIM and select unlimited landline calls as the free booster) Technically, it's a £10.21 monthly contract with T-mobile, but chitterchatter pay £4.21 cashback automatically every month for as long as you keep the account open - reducing the bill to £6 per month. Nothing to claim, it is automatic. It's only a 30 day rolling contract, cancel whenever you wish. You can buy a cheap and cheerful phone to stick the sim in
I use Telesave and I'm always surprised just how long it takes to use up the credit at the 1.5p/min peak rate. I'd start with a Telesave account and see how long it takes you to get through your £10 credit. If it's gone within 5 or 6 weeks, consider the SIM card option above. If not, stick with Telesave, topping up when you need to (which, once the account is set up and a credit/debit card linked to it you can do from any phone if you need to)0
