Cheap Lunches

Hi folks,
I generally make some soup and sometimes fresh bread. The soup is incredibly cheap to make though when you consider the number of portions you get. I usually make tomato and basil, roast red pepper and tomato, spicy parsnip or vegetable broth etc. I also make leek and potato or cream of vegetable sometimes. If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

If anyone wants a pasta dish that can be made in bulk and can be eaten cold, I would recommend chilli, streaky bacon, garlic, spinach and olive oil. I knoew the ingredients are quite expensive but they all stretch quite far in the pasta and it is delicious hot or cold.
