I was going to chuck it out, so don't want to sell it. Never been to ebay anyhow.
I didn't expect such a response, and hadn't thought about postage costs!
Still if anyone wants a bit that I can recognise, they can have it for postage. I am taking some pics and will email them ( haven't a clue really what bits ppl are asking after!), to anyone who wants a part and puts their email addy in my pm box.
Went out today and when I got back my hubby said "I took the hoover out". I thought he meant out to the rubbish, nearly had kittens. He meant he took the new one out, to clean out the car.....................phew!

All Dysons come with a 2 yr guarantee. I have phoned them several times asking for replacement parts for parts that have cracked/broken during normal use. They kindly offer free replacement parts.

    Good service!

Surely they should offer replacement parts under their 2 year guarantee.

Although I always seem to end up with Dysons as I find them light and easy to use, I think their parts are very "flimsy" and crack/break easily with normal use.
    Wins since 2009 = £17,600

    MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS

i agree they could be of better material quality in construction.

I wish I could get mine to come apart. There are no visable screws or anything to sort of "Crack" into the casing. So, they are only "Flimsy", through normal wear and tear, not when you want to give bits away, it seems!!

I took advantage of Dyson's offer to do a full refurb for about £50. They may still do it.

An engineer turns up and replaces everything that needs replacing all in. I got new nose, telescopic hose attachment, power cable, filter and bumpers.

Worth a try. Although I seem to recall that the motor is not included in the package if it needs replacing.
They currently charge £55 including call-out and all parts required - including the motor according to what they told me.

As our motor has just died, we are looking forward to what I consider a reasonable priced repair on what is a 7 year old Dyson DC02.

And their call centre is open 8-8 7 days, and they are coming on Tuesday when I only called on Saturday evening. I call that good service!

    Hi,

The link to the Dyson website is below. Depending on the model you click on, it should give you details of a 'phone number, etc.icon7.gif
