the little individual tins are on offer at 85p (iirc) in Wilkinsons
edit: personally i'd go for a lipbalm from Lush instead, pricier at £5+ BUT they are lovely0 -
Blistex daily conditioner is the best that I've ever used. All of the others tend to leave clumpy bits that I end up biting off!
It comes in a little tub, I use a lip brush and mix it with a bit of lipstick for some colour.
Superdrug sell it....

IMO Vaseline is good as a protectant on your lips but doesn't really add any moisture.
If the weather is cold and wet (where it bites lips and cheeks) i apply a little bit of oil to my lips and them slick on the vaseline over the top. It locks the oil in and protects the skin. I also like using Elizabeth Arden 8hr Cream for this - especially on my cheeks.
If you need moisture; i like the blistex one and have a nice burts bees one too but like all my lip balms/salves after about a week they vanish into thin air. I quite often just apply a bit of hand cream on my lips if they feel dry when i'm out and about.
I read somewhere that you should over apply lip conditoners and balms as after a while your lips then stop poducing their own oils and you end up in a viscious circle?I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -
I use vaseline (small handy pots) & find they do my lips more harm than good. Once you start you can;t stop as I feel they dry out more!
I really need to find something else instead x
PS I agree with the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream - brilliant - but I can't afford it!0 -
Carmex, I love it, especially the cherry one! Apparently it helps dry out cold sores too, but I have no experience of that as I don't get them. I use Vaseline too, but more out of habit than it helping. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0
