Independent students (25+) going into 2nd year

Hello,

Does anyone know the process for an independent student going into their second year?

Before I started in Sept 2006, I had to send my tax return to student finance in order for them to assess me. Do you know if this is repeated when continuing into the 2nd year, or do they base their assessment on the first year?

You need to fill in a very similar form you did for year 1. It is based on the previous year - so for 2006/7 (this year) the income is looked at from 2005/06 and for next year the income will be for year 2006/7 if that makes sense?
