Just switched... I think. Some advice required!
So, I just switched... I think.
I switched using MoneySupermarket.com, and have switched from British Gas to EDF Energy. 3 questions though...
1. What happens now? Do I wait for EDF to contact me to confirm, or is that it confirmed? What do I need to do with British Gas? Do I need to let them know? Do I need to give British Gas a meter reading?
2. When does the switch actually take place?
3. I saw no mention of the £30 cashback. When should I expect this, or will I not get it? It had absolutely no mention of it when I switched.
Having only switched once before when a British Gas man turned up on my doorstep (yes, I know) and remembering the utter painful process it was with both providers hassling me, I want to try and make this as pain free as possible.
Also, British gas, from looking at my online account, owe me money. Since my last bill was in September, I guess they'll use this money to cover the amount owing, and anything left over (if there is anything) will be given back to me?
Sorry for all the stupid questions.

EDF will contact you, at some point they will ask for your meter readings, no need for you to contact British Gas. Assuming BG don't object the switch will go though in around 6 weeks or so.That gum you like is coming back in style.0
