I have ISAs and I manage my husbands pension and am financially knowledgable. My last isa attracted 3.75%. My last bulk buy was last autumn and I got hold of lots of oral B pro expert toothpaste, actually enough for four years. I paid £1.29 a tube and even now am up by 100% per tube. My husbands pension pot is up by 70% since I took it over and my isa is as it is, at 3.75%

The op is correct, bulk buying sensibly is a good thing to do and can be much better than money in the bank.

I find some of the offers, like Branston baked beans at £1 for a four pack, versus "normal" over £2 give a 100% return, which is certainly better than my S & S, or cash ISA
