Amazon Price Mistake

On Saturday I was browsing for a Digital Canon SLR I spotted one one Amazon for an amazing £3.38p - must be a mistake???

I bought four - received confirmation of my order via email

But have since had an email saying they are out of stock (It indicated 12 left when I made my purchase and I received confirmation of purchase) and that my order has been cancelled. They suggest I re-order.

Spotting price errors is a nice way to save money!!!

BUT - can they do this?

What can should I do?

any advice welcome

There is a supplier on Amazon who have advertised goods at silly prices and then withdrawn them. If you do a search you will find other threads about them on here.

Yesterday I saw a flat screen monitor on Amamzon for £17.

There's nothing you can do about it until your contract with the company has been confirmed.

There's been similar problems with the Creative Zen on amazon marketplace, see msg #49 (i think?) on this thread for what one buyer is trying

A couple of years back I tried to buy some very cheap software from an Amazon marketplace seller - I soon realised that it was a scam to get my email address, as I was spammed with enough garbage to last into the next century if i chose to read it!

They can and have done this. There's nothing you can do. You won't get the 4 you ordered. Hope this helps.

Why four? To sell on and make a profit no doubt.

That's right - you should've allowed others to jump on the bandwagon rather than reaping the rewards of your time spent searching for bargains.
Please remember that although this forum is titled "Grab it while you can" you are actually supposed to leave them for other people and not grab them for yourself at all.

Some people just use this forum as a bragging forum, which is definately not what it's here for. It is here for people to post short term offers for others to take advantage of as well.

Else we might as well just have people wandering in just to say 'haha my n*bs bigger than yours!'
