help please

hi

we have today exchanged on a bungalow that has previously been underpinned due to subsidence.

we are not worried too much as having read up on it alot of people feel the house is probably more structurally sound now,

the one thing i had forgotten to do is get insurance and we are due to complete next friday so i need to act now.

the only problem is as its a reposession the bank selling it have no information on it,

i wondered if anyone knows of a way of finding either who it was previously insured with or who carried out thework and when. to get insurance now everyone wants toknow when it was done etc.

i am really trying to avoid paying the high costs of having a structural survery.

on my mortgage survey it just said previous underpinning done. nothing more.

thank you :(
