While I'm using my computer I get a message a couple of times a day saying "Warning - High memory usage alert".
Does anyone know what this means please?

Me too! but I use the free avg.
I have never had this come up before and it has only started since an avg pop up advised me to download their 2012 edition.
I did, but it didn't load properly so had to remove and start again.
Since the new download, my computer has been really sluggish and I get the "outlook explorer high memory usage" advising me to switch off and on again.
I just ignore it.0 -
I ignore it too, but had to change my password when I started getting truckloads of returned emails I hadn't even sent! All ads for things like Viagra etc. which you don't want going to your entire contacts list from your email address!Me too! but I use the free avg.

I did another full system scan yesterday and another 45 cookies were found and removed. I get this many at almost every scan.
I do get the feeling something's wrong but I find the sticky hard to understand.0 -
Download, install, update and run a Quick Scan with Malwarebytes' AntiMalware. When complete, choose 'Remove Selected' if there is anything to remove and Reboot your computer.
After restart, open the program again and go to 'Logs'. Double click on the log produced for today and post the contents here.
Next, download and save both the Installer and the executable of HijackThis and use the Quick Start Guide there to enable you to produce a log for posting here too.
You'll need to install(the installer) and run the(.exe as Administrator by right clicking on the downloaded .exe file and choosing 'Run as Administrator once downloaded and saved.) Once complete, follow the Quick Start Guide to posting a HijackThis log.0
