Dropped kerb ticket.......

I received a ticket for parking in front of a dropped kerb but there's more than meets the eye.....

The drop kerb is ONLY for the refuse wheelie bins, not for pedestrian crossing (there is a barrier to stop people from crossing in the middle). I've appealed and received the standard "you can't park over a drop kerb blah blah blah blah" but who is right, me or the council?

This also happened on the Bank Holiday Monday in August.

Thanks

    They are right.

It is an offence to park on ANY dropped curb...
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

The rules on a dropped kerb do not change depending on the reason (or alleged reason) for it being there.

The fact that it was a Bank Holiday is irrelevant.
