Marston :) FOLLOW UP ANY ADVICE WELCOME

Hi i wrote yesterday about a unpaid parking ticket i had that had been sent to MARSTON to collect !!!!! after calling everyone i decided to pay the £374.84 :( because everywhere i went said the price would just go up and up so i paid and asked for a breadown of the bill :) here it goes

original fine £110

1st letter £13.44

1st attendance to remove on the 26/10/11 at 12.53.03 pm £175.00 and i watched the letter come through the door as did my wife that was walking down the stairs 1000000% NO knock

here is the funny bit !!!!!!!!

2nd Attendance to remove on the 26/10/11 at 12.53."04" £33.94

HOW CAN THEY VISIT TWICE AND NOT KNOCK ONCE EVEN IF THEY KNOCKED THE FIRST TIME SURE I MUST GET MORE THAN A SECOND TO ANSWER THE DOOR !!!!!!!

AND THE STUPID WOMEN AT MARSTON GAVE ME THEM TIMES

got a solicitor on side now :) ill keep you all informed :(

Firstly, this would be better added to your existing thread.

Secondly, did you contact bailiffadviceonline? They would be able to advise in detail how to deal with the escalation in Marston's charges. Their failure to knock the door is entirely standard. A solicitor is going to cost money at some stage and in my experience their knowledge of bailiff practices is pretty thin.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

As above Bailiffadvice online are the best to deal with this no need for the expense of a solicitor, who probably wont know as much!

The attendance trick is the usual practice, why get an answer when they can jack the bill up by £30 odd quid for playing knock and run!

A program on TV on Monday may interest you!
