Orange Care mobile insurance (claim for phone defect)

Hi can anyone help me.
I have a Samsung I8910 with Orange and have had Orange Care insurance now for a number of years.
My phone is now not working properly. The problem occurs when I make or receive a call; as soon as the call connects, the touchscreen disappears and I'm left with a black screen. This means I can't listen to answerphone messages (as this requires pressing 1 to listen to new messages etc) and I can't make calls that require you to press options on an automated service.
I've had a read through Orange Care T's & C's which I found online: http://www1.orange.co.uk/terms.html/Orange-Care-terms-010910.pdf
Orange state the following as being covered:
"Mechanical or electrical breakdown: The failure of yur mobile device due to any permanent mechanical or electrical default causing replacement or repair before normal operation can be resumed".
However this is spoken about in the Warranty section of the T's & C's, and I am certainly out of warranty.
Just want to know whether I will be covered or not with my phones issue..or is there something I'm missing in the T's & C's where they can wriggle out of it (as friend's experiences have sometimes shown)?
Thanks in advance

call them orange should cover it, they are quite goodDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

They will cover it, I had the exact same problem with the same phone and a replacement was delivered within 24 hours. It's now happened again but my upgrade is due on Tuesday so I've not made another claim.0

Thanks. All done with no problems.
I would still make a claim if I was you, personally. After all, it's a genuine claim and that is what you have been paying for each month after all. That way, when you do upgrade you will have a 'fully functioning' phone to either sell or use as a spare.
I too am due an upgrade (overdue in fact), but I figured I'm not paying my insurance for nothing. Just a thought0
