missold PPI??

Hi there I have been reading posts for many weeks now and need some advice! I have three claims in with Lloyds Tsb for missold PPI now, but have just recived a SAR back from Lombard Direct. In the policy it states I must have been in consecutive employment for 6 months to qualify for the insurance, but I actually was only in employment with the Company at the time for 4 months. I was never unemployed just switched jobs with different comany's is this still a valid claim of misselling me the PPI?
Many thanks

Would you have been in employment with the company for 6 months 2 months after taking the loan or do you mean you change employer every 6 months?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). You would be unlikely to make a claim in the first 30 days of the policy anyway. Would you have really declined to take the PPI had you known you wouldnt be able to claim in the first few weeks of the policy?0 -

Cant see any problem then with the sale on that basis.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. the key phrase is "consecutive employment", so as you suggest, you were never unemployed, you moved from one job to another, then that is consecutive employment. Not a miss-saleWe've spent decades teaching people about their rights, but nothing about their responsibilities.0

Hi I've just checked through old paper work and have found old p45 and it shows that I was actually unemployed for a week before I started my new job, so that wouldn't be consecutive employment so do you think I would have grounds for a complaint for missold PPI?0

No. There is always a qualifying period with PPI. the fact your new job and the PPi started almost at the same time doesnt mean you were not covered for the whole period of the loan. As soon as you did 6 months, you became eligible.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
