I'd always believed it to be £25k (which is what it says on the stoozing.com site)
I think the £25K figure was for the old Nationwide 'Gold' card. I'll email Stooz and get it fixed.

I am unable to attach a screen shot of the page (you can view it by proceeding to apply for the NW CC; it's the first page), but here is a copy and paste version:

    Credit Card ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Please confirm the following eligibility statements apply to you before starting your application:

    1) You and any additional card holders are aged 18 or over.
    2) You have been living in the UK for the past 12 months (this includes BFPO address but excludes the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands).
    3) Your gross annual income is greater than £5000.
    4) You are NOT currently declared bankrupt, subject to an Individual Voluntary Agreement (IVA) and you do not have any County Court Judgements (CCJs).
    5) You have NOT missed any 3 payments or more on any credit commitment during the last 12 months.
    6) You have NOT applied and been rejected for a Nationwide Credit Card in the last 6 months.
    7) You have NOT held any Nationwide credit card in the last 12 months.

By selecting 'Next' you are confirming that you meet the eligibility criteria. Please select 'Exit' if you do not meet the eligibility criteria.

They're sympathetic to defaults, too. My OH has two defaults, one from 2006 one from 2007 (satisfied long ago) and they approved him for £2,800 limit at the typical 15.9% APR. Card arrived on Thursday :o

Maybe OP should have a look at Nationwide in a few months when their recent searches are a bit older?

I wrote to Tesco after reading Martin's article, they agreed to issue the card, I have the card now, although my credit limit is only £ 400, but still , better than nothing, I can buy some stock for my business as I have almost none left, and no money to buy any more.

What should I do for my credit report now? do I have to add a note that reads that Tesco accepted my request?

Also, I still want to try to apply for more, similar credit cards, should I still have to wait 6 months before applying again, even though my request to Tesco was successful?

    thanks
