Hi i need to buy 150 x £10 gift vouchers for a local childrens hospice.
Anyone got any crafty ideas how i can get a good deal on them?
I know Argos are doing £20 on a £100 spend but it excludes gift vouchers

what sort of deal do you want and what sort of gift vouchers do you want
best thing is to go to a store ask to speak to manager and see what they can do as some retailers would do a deal if it is for a local good cause.0 -

What does the retailer get in return? Offer to put their branding on any press/photos/banners/etc and invite them to the giving ceremony so they can feel connected to the giveaway - in exchange ask for a discount on the vouchers, or ask them to match-fund the vouchers maybe (eg if you buy £1000 worth, they give you another £1000 worth) if there is enough local publicity etc. If the local paper can get the manager's photo in the press it may pay dividends.
If you don't mind the vouchers carrying a bit of a condition too (eg £100 off when you spend £150), I imagine they'd bite your hand off if it means guaranteed real cash through the tills (and not through the competitors). Be creative and sewe what works for everyone. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, after all!0 -
Most voucher schemes are set up to sell to corporate buyers at a discounted rate and I'm sure if you spoke to them they would consider doing the same with you. It's no good going into your local shop though, it's nothing to do with them, you need to get in touch with the Head Office. There will be a department to do with corporate voucher sales. I used to buy the Whitbread ones and off the top of my head I think we got a 10% discount.
I don't know if they will deal with these smaller quantities, but it's worth asking!Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j
