Australian Skilled Visas

Hi, this is a very specific question and I am not sure if this is the right forum to put it on. Please move it if not.

My husband applied for Skilled Visa for residency in Australia which we were lucky enough to get. 5 years starting from June 2003. We have been once since the visa started but due to personal/family problems I do not feel ready to move there just yet although we would like to go eventually. My question is if we do not immigrate before the end of the existing visa in June 2008 could we apply for another residency visa and what would be the likelihood of actually getting it.

Told you it was specific!! Help anyone? Trying to get information from Australia house is like swimming through custard - very difficult.

Many thanks :confused::confused::confused:

    http://britishexpats.com/forum/ would be the best place for you to ask this. Although someone on here probably knows the answer, they definatley will.

    Not sure on the answer - sorry. Probably obvious I know, but have you checked the Dimia website? https://www.immi.gov.au
    Know what you mean about Austalia House - premium rate number, then it's recorded messages, & after about 10 minutes, you finally hear the option to be able to speak to someone!
    I'm currently waiting for a decision on a Spouses Visa for my OH, I hate this waiting - the unknown! Fingers crossed.

    Click here http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/136/how-the-visa-works.htm Scroll down to 'Visa Validity Period', it explains what you need to know. As for, would you get another visa, I don't think anybody could really answer that for sure. Hope you do though.

    Hope this helps.
