Switching to npower WARNING check your tariff
Just wanted to warn anyone who is switching to npower to check their tariff, in the letter sent by npower.
I am switching to the sign online 23 tariff but the letter I received from npower stated the 'standard tariff prices' with no mention of sign online 23. I then checked through the emails I had received from them and no mention at any time of sign online 23.
I contacted them and they told me that there has been a mix up because they had a problem with my bank details? They never contacted me about this and I fail to see how this could impact on the tariff they have put me on!
They assure me that they have put me on the sign online 23 tariff now, BUT for some reason cannot even send an email confirmation about this, the person just told me that the telephone conversation had been recorded.
This might be a one-off incident, but if switching to npower just check that they have put you on the tariff that you signed up to!

I've just used Comparethemarket.com and it's thrown up npower online 24 as the best buy! Maybe they killed off 23 due to problems similar to yours. As you say, don't really understand how your bank details would effect the tariff. Still, thanks for the info, it's enough to have put me off going to them.0

Personally I'd just avoid switching to Npower altogether, dreadful company to deal with!0
