Buyers expect their items to be posted immediately, people are marked down if they don't post same or next day.
People tend not to look at your despatch time before bidding.
I think that you are only allowed a certain amount of feedback revision requests so best to use them wisely.0 -

If I buy something on a monday and it doesn't arrive until the Wednesday of the following week then, unless there is a very good reason, I would mark you down as well, irrespective of what your listing says about delivery time.0 -
Cupcake - You have a valid point, however please consider that the price of the actual item was £1.99 (my decision I know), it practically cost more than that to post it given that I have to pay fee's to ebay and paypal as well.
The idea was to keep the costs as low as possible in order to give the buyer the best possible price. That means when you buy something on ebay with free postage and it says 6-8 working days, you have had your expectations correctly set and therefore you should expect as such. It also means you shouldn't complain when something that cheap has free postage.
Another point I want to make is that there was no effort on the buyers part to try and contact me about it before posting feedback. So I didn't even have the opportunity to put it right for the gentleman.0 -

My expectations are realistic (I'm very patient with sellers as I am one too!) but that's not the point here - I was using an example to help illustrate what your buyer may feel, and to help you OP.
Just don't confuse the cost of p&p (free or not) with the timescale of dispatch - the dsr's are different and the buyers perception of how long they wait is not necessarily linked to how much they pay.
One final general point (again I m being hypothetical!) - if we take timescales to their maximum, then surely if sellers feel justified that the buyer should expect to wait the maximum time for their item; then buyers might feel justified that sellers should also wait the maximum time for payment (4-8 days). Then we all end up in a pickle!!

My twopence worth on this. Although I rarely need things in a hurry, I'm guilty of not paying attention to the timescales. However, I always pay the same day an auction ends and once the seller has my money I would expect the dispatch of my goods to be a priority for them. The next day or the day following that I would expect my purchase to be on its way. If under normal circumstances they regularly are unable to meet that deadline they shouldn't be selling, in my opinion. Whenn I sell something on Amazon or Ebay, I practise what I preach.Their=belonging to them, There=over there

So if something says it will take 6-8 working days to arrive and it arrives in 6-8 working days you think that's a bad thing?

If you want to be a serious seller, you should time your auctions to end when you can post the same or next day, irrespective of what the e-bay listing may say.0

Viewing a listing on a mobile app doesn't make the description easy to read, let alone the posting time.0
