Hi experts :)

Im currently with E.on and pay Direct debit for Electric and Prepayment meter for gas.
Im a very light user, live in a 1 bed flat and pay £13 a month Direct debit for electric (im £16 in credit)
And only use prepayment meter in winter for gas fire, about £10 every 8-10 days.

im currently paying:

Electric (save online 9) - Normal units up to 900 kwhs year - 24.129 pence

Normal units 10.143 pence per kwh
______________________________________________________________________________________
Gas (prepayment meter energy plan) - Normal units up to 2680 kwhs per year - 8.57325 pence

Normal units - 3.7296 pence kwh

I live in the North west of England (Liverpool) and was thinking about moving to ebico as ive heard they are the cheapest for light users. Would it be worth me switching and will i be saving much if i do going by the prices im currently paying?

Many thanks for any help and advice and thank you's at the ready!

What do the comparison sites tell you?

You need to use the comparison sites to take allow you to compare with the standing charge tariffs, and to also take into account any discounts that are applied for things like online billing, direct debit, dual fuel, etc. Comparing on the basic per-unit rate isn't sufficient. For some suppliers this may look high, but the discounts can bring it right down. My last Eon tariff was high, but then had a 20% discount for online management!

All comp sites are basically the same, use the ones recommended on the main board. Get your annual kWh consumption figures, put in your postcode and current tariff, job done. No 'learning' is involved.
I tend to use energyhelpline for checking.
