Govt Energy Tax

Options
Does anyone know what the rate of taxation is on traditional light bulbs compared to that imposed on energy saving bulbs?

As far as I'm aware t's currently just vat @17.5% on both, although there were reports a few weeks ago the government is considering taxing 'normal bulbs' in the future. However they are also considering banning them from 2009, while the tories are considering cutting vat on energy saving ones.

I agree with tripled, standard VAT, but they do subsidise some prices/manufacturers?, or people like Morrisons or Netto would not be able to sell Philips ones at 49p or less.
