Visited Barcelona in December - lovely city. Would definitely recommend "Hotel Marvi" on Pelai. It's 2 minutes from Placa Catalunya and Las Ramblas and 30 seconds from a Metro station (Universitat). Very clean well kept rooms and on arrival we were given the choice of a room at the front facing the fairly busy street (but not too noisy) or a quiter room at the back. Staff all very friendly and speak good english. Only negative thing was that no english channels on the TV but apart from that it was fantastic. Price through www.travelrepublic.co.uk
for September is £70 per room per night for 2 adults including a light breakfast (tea/coffee/oj & croissant & biscotti) so that would be £140 per person for the 4 nights.

Hotel gets good reviews on trip advisor and although technically 2 star it's a s good as many 4 star hotels I've stayed in.

  • We stayed in the Hotel Ibis, 70-80e per double room, its a little way out of the centre but near a Metro stop so only takes 10-15 mins. Check he Accor hotels website for info.

For hotels, I'd recommend doing a search on venere.com - really helpful website with lots of good maps/reviews, and reasonable prices too (which you also don't have to pay in advance)
Plus for 4% off, use code: BK5HX8W

I think it's a good idea to check out this website even if you find hotels cheaper elsewhere, as the descriptions and maps are generally better than other sites in my opinion.

    Hope that helps
  • I have been to Barcelona several times but recently read about something that may be right up your streeet. Its a B & B called Five Rooms - https://www.thefiverooms.com Take a look and you may find it suitable. Otherwise look at H10 Pi where you can get some good deals. Try https://www.ramblahotels.com for good prices.
