This can take upto 5/7 working days, before he gets the money. There is an outside chance you could still receive the voucher if then sent onc he is paid in full. A Paypal payment does not give you instant access to your money, unless you know how the system works. For such a low ebay feedback the seller is new to this.He could be the one that does not trust sending it before he is fully paid and cash in hand. I would still do as I first posted to cover myself and explain the situation. Fingers crossed

Actually if you want to recover money you should use the tools or demands Paypal is making of you first, and then if that fails, you should take it to court. Paypal's terms and conditions will probably cover their procedure dealing with accounts that they deem to be high-risk or have issues with their recent activity and, to be fair, the OP should probably try and prove that they are not ripping their buyers off, since they have responsibility for the sales in question and alternative venues are just as cagey about this sort of thing as well - at least, the ones that are going to give you that sort of return on your investments.tigeress289 wrote: »This is not about how many accounts we can have, it is about paypal. The OP will get the money back in time and I would send them a formal complaint first ,warning of legal action in a small claims court. It is worth issuing a small claims against them as they have your money. If customers have received the items you have a claim against paypal if they then refund them. Do not waste valuable time trying to sort out the accounts. Work on recovering your money then if you want to start again, do so in a different frame of mind. Ebay is a system and its knowing how to make it work in your favour not theirs. Best of Luck
A court would normally want to see that you have tried to solve the problem before resorting to legal action. They might uphold Paypal's rights to cover their buyers in event of a potentially fraudulent seller. However, if Paypal are going against the T&Cs of the service they provide - including fraud prevention and money-laundering rules - and you have exhausted the remedies open to you through them, then that is when you take it to court or the ombudsman, not before.
If OP has suddenly increased the volume of transactions made through their accounts, then it's no wonder that Paypal are smelling a rat - whatever the validity of OP's claim, it's up to them to prove that the money is not being gained through fraud.
Looking at this objectively, OP should persevere with Paypal and sort this out before reaching for the lawyers."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Interesting viewpoint. Guilty until you prove your innocence. Perhaps all courts should adopt this method.0 -

If you think that attempting to resolve the matter with PayPal/eBay is realistic then sadly you are deluded. Call them up, agent says yes that they will investigate and don't. Email them, and you'll get the standard email back from them.
PayPal/eBay don't care. They don't have to care when they have £2k of the OP's money on an interest free loan.
To the OP. Immediately invoke PayPals complaints procedure, then take it to the Financial Ombudsman. No need for a Court fee. The FOS is the only language that PayPal understand. The man without a signature.0 -
A good alternative to an eBay store is https://www.bumblebuy.net, I only opened a store there a few days ago and although it isn't as fast as eBay it's still selling stuff at a reasonable rate, and you don't even have to have PayPal, I accept PayPal google checkout and nochex on my store0

take you complaint straigh to the FOS who will foward your complaint to Paypal, Paypal fall within their (FOS) juristiction, they might say they dont as they're registred outside the UK. I can assure you they DEFINITELY DO. The FOS will foward your complaint onto paypal. Paypal will have 8 weeks to sort it. then the FOS will request their files if they cant sort it to your satisfaction and for the priveledge the FOS will charge them £500 to reviwe the file.
Do let us know how you get on. This is the best method. No reliance should be placed on the above.0 -
Hi guys,
Thanks for your input.
I contacted PayPal and the payment I had mentioned is in my locked account again. I still have 6 disputes to sort out (disputes opened AFTER PayPal had closed my account)!
Still thinking of complaining to the FOS. PayPal need sorting out, they are HIGH RISK!!!
Will keep you updated.
Thanks.0
