Need advice for my next move

I am in my (5 week due to 5 years service) redundancy notice period which ends on 1st November. I have been offered another job at the company as an alternative to taking redundancy (would only get stautory 5 week payment) which would commence immediately my notice period ends but its part time (2 full days a week) and thus half my original salary.-HR have confirmed that it would be considered a continuous period of employment so my 5 years service & associated benefits would be carried over. I thought it was better than nothing so accepted it.
Since then.I have been lucky enough to get quite a few job interviews -some full time but most seem to offer part time work so i hoped to get another job to add to the 2 days to make a full time job BUT the fact i have another job seems to be putting off potential employers and i am so fed up of getting to the last 2 candidates and being told that was why i didnt get the job
I feel my options are to go back and revoke my acceptance of the reduced job (even though it hasnt started)and ask to take my redundancy instead so i will be free in the eyes of an employer ( i have 4 interviews lined up for next week alone) or do i still take the 2 days with my existing company which means i would have to give a months notice and say to a potential employer that i am available immediately for 3 days a week until my 4 week notice is served.
i would be very grateful for anyone's input as i am very confused
and i am also worried that i may, inadvertantly, be doing something wrong/missing some detail that will bite me on the backside later

If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs, its just possible you haven't grasped the situation

If you are sure that is what you want to do, when you start your part time role a statutory four week trial period kicks in. At the end of this you can legitimately say to your employer that you cannot exist on the lower wage, and still qualify for the redundancy payment.0

Thankyou very much
Its not what i want BUT i'd rather work 2 days a week (will get £200 a week so as a prorata not so bad..)than be unemployed.
The redundancy on offer is £1500 so thats not going to last very long if i go now...its nice to know i have effectively to the first week of December to change my mind, go and get my redundancy anywayIf you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs, its just possible you haven't grasped the situation0
