Thursday 27th October 2011 - What small DFW things will you do today?

  • Morning Everyone,
I'm on a day off today, (well apart from an hours private care tonight) so have had a lie in and am chilling on the sofa with the dogs thinking about all the stuff I should be doing but can't be bothered to!
It's not raining here atm but very dark and grim, don't think i'll get the washing out on the line today which is a pain, one load is on now and at least another 2 to do.

    Todays list:
Meals from stores (hm hot pot for tea, will find something for lunch.
Tackle the few bits of sewing repairs that are lurking about (and change the fastening on a pair of black pants from a crap clip thing which broke within a week to proper buttons. Very MSE as it will save me buying new work pants!)
List a few bits on Ebay later.
Check Onepoll again a couple of times (screened out of 1 this morning :()
Go to Mr A and try to return 2 tops which I bought, washed once on a quick wash and they have gone baggy and the sleeves have shrank. Might not get money back but worth a shot.
Store cupboard shop at mr A as I have a £5 to use on a £40 shop before the weekend. Don't really need anything but will stock up on any bargins for the freezer and cupboards. :o
    Visit parents.
Try not to put the gas fire on unless really baltic.
    Walk pooches locally.
    Relax!

    Have a good day everyone.

    clean bathroom
    do pots
    tidy living room
    hoover,polish
put 2x wash on maybe 3 havnt had time these last couple of days so piling up.
    hang washing on airers

hopefully do some baking if i get time later on
practice theory test on computer.(a must)

    Afternoon all

    Today's things...

Pork casserole in the slow cooker - cheap pork with all veg in fridge that needed using
Look at OU courses to complete my degree
    Lunch from stores - porridge
My mum had the kids today so i could work
Swimming club for the girls after work - wash their hair in the showers there
    Payday!! Make relevant bill payments
Find out how much on c/c to transfer to OH's 0% deal
    Work hard
Bought fleece blankets (with the arms) on groupon deal. Bought 3 lots of 3 in total - works out £6 each with postage! I have one at home so 3 of them will be for OH and our girls and then 6 for xmas presents. I am thinking one each for my stepmum and 2 half sisters. They are worth £14 each so i could save myself some money on their presents!
Start planning budgets and xmas presents!
    Look at travelodge sale

Our new solid oak table arrives tomorrow! I am sooooooo excited. Not a DFW thing but OH earnt a lot for working away for a week and so this covers over half of it

DNMS - i hope you are okay :(
Perni - thanks for reminding me about the flylady thread! Been ages since i have been on there - i could do with looking at it again
Lemmings - you put me to shame! I was doing well with my lessons a year ago and then we booked our wedding and all money got diverted! Hopefully i will pick it up again soon. I am tempted just to do loads of lessons together over a couple of weeks.
Teb - love the running up the stairs exercise! That is something i should fit in. I used to do it that every time i needed to go upstairs i had to do it twice!
Michelle - welcome! Love this thread though i have been AWOL for a while
Aria - enjoy your day off!!! I have had two days off this week and enjoyed them both.

I hope everyone has a great day x

    Debt-free and Proud!
Hello all, well , i dont know if any of you remember but i had a car accident two years ago.. which was not my fault.. looks like i might be getting some compensation .. which solicitor is hoping to get me an amount which would clear my debt :-) got to wait though.. they have 23 days to accept offer or the solicitor will push it to court..as it has taken so long already.. and i was left to sort my own treatment out in the end after waiting two years!! BUT just cant stop thinking how fabulous it will be - if i can be debt free... just have mortgage to pay..

Keep your fingers crossed all xx

  • yargo thats fantastic news! fingers crossed for you treacle x

Thanks for the well wishes. Candy you made me laugh but I don't wish any more suffering on my dd than I already have inflicted through being a young, selfish & pretty carp teenage mum. I think the expression is I'm wearing a crown of thorns. Need to learn to forgive myself but its pretty hard x

Hi all, hope you've all had good days! Welcome to new faces! Fingers crossed for you on the settlement Yargo - hopefully something good will come from it all.

Just a quick question if no one minds! Anyone know of any websites where you can enter a perfume and similar smells will be shown - want to get my mom perfume for Christmas but don't just want to start wandering round sniffing randomly!

Have a great evening all xx
