Upto £150 cashback on New Sony TV's

It is a "cashback" its just that they give you a card to spend the money on straightawy rather than sending you a cheque which you then have to bank etc. As for spending and judging, surely it simply a case of using the card when you are next "doing the weekly shop".

As for getting a good deal, find the TV on the John lewis website, find the same model on a website for a store with a highstreet shop (eg:- RicherSounds) and then fill in the form at John Lewis. get the price matched and also get a 5year guarantee at a "top" high street company.

the new ones normally come with a pin so you can take the cash out of a atm, they are just like cash supposedly easier for companies to use than cheques

Ordered the Sony CX523 40 Inch Full HD 1080p Freeview HD LCD 1 £449.99 Internet TV from argos last week, and find the screen darker than the samsung we are used too.
Although the sound is superb compared.
Had to contact Argos as the receipt is required to claim the cashback, and we never received one, except confirmation by email.

So I reserved this TV at Argos using this exact item number and find it is £449.99. I than ring the Argos customer care line spoke to Paula at approx 15:15 on 31 October she said go to the sony.co.uk/smartoffers to get the offer. Then I went to the site inserted my postcode for my local store and was given an 0845 6340475numer (which I believe is premium rate) I rang the number I am given option after option repeated constantly same options repeated time and time again and I was eventually cut off by them. Wow this is an offer it does note exist!

I since checked the Argos website today and now it is £479.99 today!

What on earth is going on all I want to do is buy a TV as advertised. It is totally not as advertised and it is not with Argos either. In addition what we’d like to know is how you are supposed t get the additional £20 if you spend over £100 it says save up to £250 on TVs and get £20 worth of Argos vouchers on the page 65 of the Sun Sat Oct 29th how am I meant to get the Argos vouchers if I can’t even get the TV and it’s not from Argos?

I have never had so much trouble trying to spend my money in all my life! Absolutely disgusted and we usually spend hundreds in Argos on a regular basis. Is this a scam?

This needs sorting out. Trades Descriptions does not come anywhere near to what we have experienced.

Your upset because a tv advertised at £449.99 was £449.99?

The price after cashback is the price after you buy the tv for £449.99 - then claim £100 back for Sony.

We bought a Sony LED , and I must admit the Samsungs appear brighter, but not as sharp. Sound is rubbish on most of these new screens, mainly cause it comes thru the back . Thats why Im just buying some new speakers.

I sussed the screen i pressed the scene button and changed it.
We find the sound far better than the Samsung can here this one on 6 easily, where as the Samsung had to be on 12+ for me to hear it as clear.
We have a sound bar for movies.

I like the look of them , though Sony still dont seem to be offering a 32 inch version yet.

When I heard one in the shop , I wasnt that blown away by it, which is a shame because they look better than having small speakers.

Any views ?

Yeah sits under the tv saves having loads of wiring and the effect is really good for what it is.
