Do Alton Towers have bigger seats for bigger people?

Options
As per the title, I'm just wondering whether Alton Towers have bigger seats to accommodate bigger people on their rides.

I've heard that they have a fourth seat on many rides which is larger than a standard size and allows more chance of the safety bar coming down if a rider is bigger than average - can anyone confirm this please?

Thanks

Don't know about that, but I've known larger riders to be refused a ride because the headrest/bar can't get down fully. The chest/girth restrictions are generally listed on individual rides where applicable.

I'm on the large side and had no problems going a few weeks ago. Nemesis certainly has some larger seats - about 4 or 5 rows back, look for the seats with a double seat belt. I had to change seats for Rita as the belt was just a bit too small but no big deal - the ride staff know what they're doing and if they can get you on the ride then they will. I wear XXL clothes and had no issues on air, rita, nemesis, 13 or oblivion.

Although I don't know what size you are though, maybe best to give the park a ring just to find out.

    hope this helps

Most of the big rides, as named above, have individual seat fastenings. These will accommodate someone who is XXL. You might struggle with rides where the security bars are shared between a car or a few riders, as these don't have any leeway, and need to clip down into the ride for you to be able to go.

I went with someone a little on the large size (although he only wears L clothes) and he was asked to leave the ride a few times, as were a surprising amount of others. The staff were always respectful about it but it did seem to affect him a bit.

Ok thanks. O/H wants to take the grandkids and he's quite big and worried that the rides may be too small for him to fit into them
