I hope i will get some help from you nice people as this is my first post.
I will try to keep it short my aunty died leaving a house the pearson entrusted to sell the property i feel is not beeing truthful he said the house required major works due to subsidance hence the low price he recieved for the house. i feel that the work would have been covered by her insurance but he will have none of it & fails to give any more info.
My question is can i find out if my aunty had insurance at the time of her death with out knowing her insurance company. its a long shot i know.

You need to find the insurance company.
Maybe you can trace it by going through her documents/bank statements/credit card statements etc.0 -
Who did auntie leave the house to.
Dont mean to be rude but does this affect you. If it doesnt why are you making it your businsess.
Did she have a husband, children, parents.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

Sorry to be so negative but..
There isn't a register that you can check, the best bet would be the bank statements etc.
There is no guarantee that your aunt actually held buildings insurance, especially if she was mortgage free.
Also, if you're not the executor of her will or have probate for her estate even if you did trace her insurers they wouldn't disclose information to you.
If they won't talk to you is there perhaps a family member who could speak to the person who sold the house and clarify about insurance?0 -
her Brothers & sisters0

thank you solmalt for your reply and thats why me have not been given acess to the information if we haven't got the info what can we do to prove we have been duped0

If there isn't someone in the family who can mediate, perhaps you should get some legal advice on what, if any, rights you have.
But, that is unlikely to improve your relationship with the person who has sold the house or encourage them to answer questions.0 -
believe me you could not encourage them to answer as this would meen that they are guilty of fraud0

No fraud would have been commited unless there is something you are not telling us?
At worst they would have failed in their duty to maximise the value of the estate.
Was the house sold on the open market or are you suggesting the executor somehow gained personally from selling the house at a "low" price?0
