Just received my latest on line bill from EDF a quick glance through and I noticed that in the ' Account activity since last statement ' , there is an item ' Miscellaneous charge of £20.85 ' .
No date of when this charge arose or what it was for.
After being on the 'phone to EDF customer services for forty five minuets  they " think it was something to do with the system changeover in Feb/March " and rather than a charge it should be a credit !
Believe it or not the customer advisers are unable to access the old system to find out what the charge was for and have to contact the IT team to try to resolve the matter, they said it will take a week, we'll see :shhh:
Initially they waffled on, trying to get rid of me, by saying that it was a charge for a cancelled visit.
They couldn't say when the alleged visit was, or what it was for, but suggested that it may have been for a meter reading, when I said I did the meter reading on line there was a deadly hush
Anyone else noticed similar ?
If you are with EDF keep your eye out for this nice little earner for them.
I'll update in a week.
P.s. I'm about to move to a different supplier anyway but have no intentions of leaving any of my money in their bank
