Why are you trying to put me down?

In answer to your question no-one will lend £2000 to someone who isn't working. Regardles of whether you have a job to start soon or not.

    Next, cashier number 4 please!

  • Meh, whatever. You know nothing about me or how much money I earn. If i've already paid for my NY trip or where my new job is or who it's with.

Why are you trying to put me down? I thought these boards where for people to help each other, not for bored people like yourself, to pick at others looking for help because they have nothing better to do...

I know exactly how much you earn .... nothing. You said so in your first post by admitting you are unemployed. And your 'new job' doesn't sound very secure as you say you 'should' be starting in 'about' six weeks.

I also know that you are broke as you wanted a loan to go to New York in December and you now need a loan in December for £2-3k which you can pay back with your first salary, so if that is true you will need to be earning a minimum of £4k after tax in your supposed new job to pay back £3k and live for a month until your next £4k payday.

What is your supposed new job? MP? Banker?

I certainly don't mind offering help to people who have genuine questions or problems (like most people on this Forum) but when people start on flights of fancy, which is what you appear to be doing, then I will say as much

  • To be honest it's none of your business what I need it for.

You are being very evasive about why you need this loan. If you were more open about that, then people maybe able to advice on a better way of purchasing "x", where to buy "x" cheaper, alternative items that would make more economic sense and so on.

The more information you give the more chance of helpful advice.

Why do I need to be earning a minimum of £4k per month to pay back a £2k loan? Who says I need 1K a month to live on? You're just making things up..again.

MP? £2k a month wage is not alot at all!

It's a lump sum of £3k that needs to be paid, nothing that anyone says can make it cheaper etc. Not for a holiday/car or whatever else people would like to think it's for.

They would've saved themselves a lot of agro if they'd just said what the money was for. This board is about trying to advise on sensible financial behaviour, not just borrowing money for whatever as quick as possible.

What ever the op is dreaming of, be it a tatty holiday or a new banger car, the fact is she stands 0.0% chance of anyone lending her money with no job to pay it back...none, zippo, nadda, nowt.

I sometimes wonder what planet some people are on.

  • Holi.....sorry Payday Loans.

I also know a big fella called Bert that will lend you a few quid.

Seriously ms sunshine, the answer is no financial institution will lend without "some" form of collateral, whether that is a house, a car or more usually a job. If you have a car or a house you could borrow against these perhaps?

(and I think most posters have an idea what the money is for, no point getting upset with each other if they are cynical in the face of obvious evidence!)

    either way enjoy NY! :-)
