Rant at Play!

Just a quick rant at play.com!
Ordered some new speakers for my pc - got the parcel a few days later after failed delivery (I work usually 8:15am-6/7pm so can only pick it up from sorting office) to find that although addressed to me, inside there was a completely different item complete with full details of who the parcel should have been sent to (which means my details have no doubt gone to someone else).
Contacted play who will send the speakers out (yay!) but I need to print out details, re-package up the other item and send it to them along with receipt for packaging costs, great that they will refund the full cost of postage but its a hassle I really don't need!!!!
Getting away from work is tough enough as it is, so i really don't want to have to trek across town and waste my time just because of their mistake!
oh and with reference to their "Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you and thank you for your patience and valued custom. " -They obviously don't value highly my e-mail as they did not address any points I made as I got pasted the usual generic reply!
So I know, I just need to suck it up, these things happen etc etc - but I'm still entitled to my moan!

I had the same thing happen, if you ring or email them the parcel cost they will refund straight away well they did for me anyways0

I'd tell them that if they want to correct their mistake they're welcome to arrange for someone to come and collect the mis-delivered package from me and a convenient time. It sounds like you're a busy person so I don't think Play should expect you to trek across town to undo their mistake...
Play's customer service has gone way down from when it used to be play247.com back in the early 2000s. I remember why I haven't used them for a while.0
