    i've heard that the big heavy ones that cover the whole steering wheel are the only ones to bother with - the ones that are just a bar across it are very easily removed.

    second that my mate had the little one that goes across the steering wheel and still had his car nicked so if your going to go for one get the full cover one. personally i wouldnt bother and just get a decent alarm, if they get in ya car with a crooklock on they'll probably just smash it up/set fire to it so on.. at least an alarm usually "frigtens" them off

    Check the fitment though, as some steering wheel locks will not fit over bulbous airbags.

    Almost all of them are easy to remove and so act more as a deterrent to people trying than actually stopping them to be able to.

    As others have said, they wont however stop someone trashing the car or nicking the stereo - the whole wheel ones were always reported as more secure and therefore a bigger deterrent but can have problems fitting them.
