maternity allowance

I have recently had a baby 14/8/2011. I was working for the jobcentre plus until 31.12.10 - when my contract was ended. i was one month pregnant, i then did agency work cleaning a hospital, but became ill, i was signed off and started to claim esa 1.3.11 when i was 28 weeks i called jobcentre to change my benefit, i was told not to claim maternity allowance (slthough i was entitled) and to claim income support. now my partner has started fulltime work, i no longer get income support and was advised to claim maternity allowance. i am entitled to 128.00 per week. i was not getting anywhere near that with IS and feel i have been robbed of money i was entitled to as i was working during my pregnancy!! please help. i dont now what to do, this is the jobcentres fault and i have been given the wrong info!!

You will of needed to of worked at least 26 weeks in your test period to claim MA. Did you do this? Being on ESA doesnt count0
