Hi lovely Techie peeps
,
I have been put in charge of finding cheapish but good piece of CRM software that can do the following:
Also, if I haven't considered any other features that would be crucial/just plain good to have, please let me know as the more I can get for the money, then better.
Thanks guys and guyesses. :T

I have been put in charge of finding cheapish but good piece of CRM software that can do the following:
- Store customer details (Names, addresses, contact names, phone/fax numbers, email addresses etc.)
- Store prices we quote them for a variety of products
- Log who we have spoken to that day
- Information of different varieties, perferably with the ability to tweak the titles of the fields and the number of fields as required
- Allow us to print off reports from a variety of fields, including who to phone that day etc. according to the criteria we set.
Also, if I haven't considered any other features that would be crucial/just plain good to have, please let me know as the more I can get for the money, then better.
Thanks guys and guyesses. :T

Hmm, CRM stuff is not often cheap. You "could" do what you want in MS Access if you are happy with database stuff.
I have a feeling that Business Contact Manager (for Outlook) may well cover most of your basis. Worth a look if you have Outlook.0 -
Just found some details for the 2010 version (as an example):

Thanks, Lucero.
Am having a look now (and yes, we do have Outlook).
Any other suggestions while you are mulling it over?0 -
Suger CRM community edition is free although you will have to handle everything yourself

Ideally I am looking for something with minimal setting up.maintaining, but you can't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Any CRM solution that is anything more than a contact list is going to take a fair bit of setting up.
Presumably? you want it to talk to your accounts software so you can get client spends and overdue debtor details from the accounts software and handle the follow-up calls in CRM?A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
define 'cheapish', how many zeros?
also, how big a business is it; how many customers details are you looking to manage0 -
+1 for SugerCRM (if you want it cheep and powerful and know how to set it up)
otherwise
As for paid software their is "Sage ACT!" (costs vary!) it's a so-so product (last installed it for a client 4 years ago) but you can get training and up and running in no time. https://www.act.comLaters

+1 for SugarCRM
There's also a paid-for version of Sugar which is charged per user which is ideal for SME. They'll also set it up and host it for you.P.I.C.N.I.C problem: Problem In Chair, Not In Computer0
