Hello, can anyone please tell me how this works?
A family member needed emergency treatment while in France for a few days. Can he claim back the money on his EHIC card that he had paid out for the treatment at the french hospital?

The refund needs to be claimed from the local sickness insurance office in France. They'll get around 70% back.

No idea if you can post it. It might not be relevant but we used it in Belgium this year and we simply got a cash refund at the office.What goes around - comes around0
