Here's my story of accident claims.

Since a small car accident that happened more than a year ago I've been called and called again by one accident claims company or another stating that £3000 are put asside by the insurance company for your discomfort. oh "...plus £3000 for your daughter who was in the car with you and she will have access to these funds when she is 18!", not bad eh?

All that this accident did was break one of the rear stop lights. Replaced by the insurance company for free!
Discomfort of a total of 1h spent on the incident+phone+garage. Not a biggy! PLUS every week being bothered by the accident claims telephone gurus.

The first few times I told them I am not interested but a month ago I went along with it. "Yes!" I said I want to hear more. "Yes I will talk to your solicitor." And I did!

The solicitor asks you the bottom line and they will not beat about the bush.

First they will ask the Location and Date details. Your name and other people in the car.

Then they will ask you to confirm if the accident caused a doscomfort. I said yes.
How long did it last?
- Not long.
A month?
- No... nah...
Three months?
- No, no!
Can you please state how long?
- About a day maybe 2?
Oh!.. Ah! I see... Well we can not take your claim any further
- Thats perfectly all right by me, thank you so much.

I have issues with that. I could use £3000, who wouldn't and I feel my daughter would love a small fund like this plus 12 years of interest.

If you want to take the cash all you have to do is answer the questions right, I was assured no medical is required. I was assured the money is there waiting for me allocated and in danger to return to the big fat cat accounts that make their money out of your discomfort.

I shall not accept money I have not earned or owed even if this means that because of other people's lax of ethical dilemas I pay more car insurance now than I did when back then...

And after all that, the phone keeps ringing!
But by the Great Galaxies, I will not break! :A

Comment, applause, enhance or criticize, I wrote this here because this dimension, dilemma, pressure to "say the poem and get the cash" is not exposed and it is soul heavy man! very heavy!

They ring or text random numbers constantly hoping to find someone who has had a claim they can make money from.

The £3000 set aside for you is what they tell / text everyone

They were lying on both counts. Something which you would have inevitably discovered if you had taken the matter further.
